But we know that winners don't have it handed to them. They have to take it, seize it, conquer it. Like Conan, winners are those that become king by their own hand.

Or, in a Christian frame, are chosen not for their might or their ferocity, but for their steadfast faith and obediance to His Word as they go about doing His Will.

To those opposed, those two look a lot alike, and are hated and feared all the same.

This is not something that a commercial enterprise can provide; you cannot swipe your card and Consume Product your way to winning, so there is no Paying To Win.

As BDubs has said when on NerdCognito's podcast and again with Dunder Moose, the solution is to bring back brotherhood among hobbyists. This is the social function of the Clubhouse, and it is telling that the hostile reaction to this return of a lost institution comes from folks who either are threatned because they sense a hit to their business prospects or they fear being filtered out because they refuse to Git Gud.

Nevermind that they could just refocus their efforts on providing the mentorship needed to develop talent, or on provision and maintenance of the physical plant needed for a Clubhouse to operate in a local area, or otherwise be good brothers and stewards. No, there must be gain! No, there must be accomodation! This is how you get such pitiable wretches as Games Journalists unable to pass tutorials.

And yes, I am saying that commercialization incentivizes people to Loserdom, to being as bad as Games Journalists, by demanding that things be changed to let them "win".

The Bros won't let you win, but neither will they let you languish in the suck if you let them help you get better. That is the brotherhood that this hobby has long been lacking, and YouTube videos/streams/podcasts are not sufficient for that purpose anymore than reading a manual is. You need to be mentored, and you need to mentor in turn. This is a wargaming hobby, so it needs to feel like being in the dojo as much as it does the war college or the study.

The value of providing the receipts--the Actual Play reports in particular--is to show those observing from the sidelines that (a) the Bros know what's what, (b) they can and do help each other to improve and win, (c) Conventional Play is holding you back- especially the Cargo Cult that benefits from keeping it as the norm. The Bros prove by doing that the real hobby is not what the Cargo Cult of Conventional Play claims it to be.

The Culture: Pop Cult Orthdoxy Is Not For Corporations To Decide

Author Brian Niemeier wrote, some years ago now, about corporate fandom and dubbed it "The Pop Cult".

This is the key element he identified then:

Since then what we've seen is that the members of the Pop Cult are not so easily herded. Psuedo-religions are still religions, and as such the Faithful can and do reject the direction of the leadership if they (a) detect that the leaders are going where they ought not go and (b) they sense that there is a critical mass that agrees on (a).

This leads to the question: "Who decides what is Canon?" It was presumed that the Pop Cultist would slavish conform to whatever their idols told them. This turned out to be not true. What Is or Is Not in Canon, once the Creator is gone, is for the Audience to decide: not the Corporation.

Why? This is why.

Good stewards recognize this fact. That is why they are scrupulous about the property that they sheppard, especially if their compensation is directly tied to its long-term health (and thus value).

Proof? Sorcerers By The Sea outright bribed a cohort of YouTube channels to shill for Corporate Positions because they had considerable audiences, were rather effective and efficient at it, and could be bought with the pocket change usually reserved for tipping the pizza delivery guy.

Why? Well, you get things like this out of them and this is far more effective at determine what Is and Is Not than what they say or do.

I can go on.

The corporate stewards that seethe over this are, at best, Mammon Mobsters mad that the audience will not mindless Consume Product and then get excited for Next Product. You see this most with Stupid British Toy Company and the Devil Mouse.

But the ones that hate it most are the Death Cultists that serve Molech, and as their entire apparantus for taking the openings made by Mammon Mobsters acting as 5th Columnists to turn the corporate operations into recruitment funnels into the Death Cult. As these corporate actors (unlike those in more important segments of the economy) do not have the ability to just use State power to silence these dissidents they have to compete using personal connections with Fellow Travelers in either those platforms or related ones (like Stripe or Patreon) to do it instead, and in the meantime find or build up a compliant group of shills spouting the party line.

They have to do this, because otherise their attempts at being sly about their Death Cult pozzing will keep getting exposed and thereby rendered impotent.

Oh, and that includes their attempts to regain their previous cloak of invisibily via BRIDGE.

This is what corporates and propagandists don't get: the audience gets not only a say, but the final say.

That audience? VETO! VETO! VETO!

And those attempts to pozz non-Anglo media? Already meeting even heavier resistance than the Western pushes ever got. No blackpilling folks. This can be beaten.

Especially once you account for audience use of Print On Demand technology to keep what is considered Orthodox available. We just want our Hunchbacks, and we'll have them the way they must be one way or another.

The tide has turned. There is waning sentiment towards these outlets, and more open shitting on them, and that's a good thing. My Life As A Gamer: E2 2021 Is Upon Us.

E3 2021 is happening.

Technically, it's already begun. Games Workshop started it on the 3rd with their showcase of new and upcoming videogame adaptations. Not that most noticed it as such, so it wasn't counted as such. You can find more info on that here at Niche Gamer.

The real pre-show began on the 5th with the Indie Live Expo, streamed on YouTube. That's embedded below for your convenience.

The Business: The Shift Coming With the DC/WB Selloff

I've posted this on its own on my social media, but this merits some commentary of my own.

AT&T selling off to Discovery is a big deal. Discovery itself is a massive corporate enterprise. It owns the Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, OWN, Science, Velocity, American Heroes Channel, Destination America, Discovery Family, and more. Adding all of the Warner Media territory turns this media network into one that melds a strong documentary-based programming with more popular (including genre fiction) entertainment media into a whole whose synergy is not yet known.

For us, it's mostly on the technical end--streaming services will be merged and social presence will be blended--and a likely shift in the Warner end of things. That doesn't mean it will be an improvement, other than wholesale shutdown and dissolution of underperforming elements like DC and Rooster Teeth, and the pozzing won't end. It will shift, as cliques wage office warfare to control the house organs, but I don't expect it to end with this merger.

That doesn't mean it's all bad news. As with the mergers in OldPub, this is another example of a corpse bloating before collapsing. In this case, the corpse is OldMedia. Despite the desperate attempt to jump ship to streaming, more agile competitors will continue to outmanuever these decaying giant corpses as well as rivals with superior support from the witches that conjured them from nothing, the ones that dominate the banking system and government agencies.

It's not going to happen overnight, but that collapse will happen. Each merger is a defensive move by that segment of the Establishment to maintain hegemony without making any effective changes required to address the issues that cause their hegemony to be threatened in the first place. The real threat, therefore, is not that these people will somehow beat the insurgent upstarts, but rather that those upstarts--actually their rivals within the Establishment--turn out to be no better. New Boss, Old Boss, you get the idea.

You just don't want to be around when the giant corpses finally collapse; if you work in, or rely upon, this mess of a media business then get clear now before it crushes you. The consequences may not be flashy and dramatic, but they will be felt and echo for some time after the fact as the full effect reverberates like ripples in a pond- or aftershocks of an earthquake.

So, specific things I want to identify that matter to me and others in my niche:

• DC Comics is open to having its comics publishing shut down, issuing only reprints of proven past successes for the sole purpose of maintaining IP control. The real purpose is to farm that IP for film, television, and videogame adaptations. Past adaptations that are successful and popular will remain available. Future ones will be measured against them, and as such will be prime examples of soulless corporate hash most of the time. Why? Most people do not read, and have never read, the comics. This will be a cost-cutting measure, especially if they forgo regular print runs for Print On Demand and digital-primary distribution.
• Warner Brothers will have its underperforming productions cancelled. This is because the incoming ownership is more aligned with Mammon than Molech, so the SJW shitfests are likely to get the axe to satisfy the shareholders and investors, and pressure will be put on the production companies to clean up their act- as will DC Comics (since most of the affected productions are DC adaptations). No, I don't think Synder will get called back; sorry Synderverse fans. Instead, there will be an attempt to actually make money by being not-offensive to people with money, which are not the SJWs.
• Streaming services will be merged. Count on this being the first big move. All of the properties that Discovery will own will be put into one place, and made exclusive to its platform; no more will they rely on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, etc. as middlemen.
• Discovery will have fierce internal battles with Death Cultists for control. Watch the media trades for dueling hitpieces, as the media is often used as cutouts and proxies for factional fighting in the public square, as we see with Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm. Part of the move here? To set up SJWs for failure, letting them think they won with all sorts of TV and film productions, then sabotaging them so they fail and pointing that out to investors and shareholders as justification for cutting them loose and blackballing them. That's right, Mammon Mobsters' greed will be why the Molekites get the axe. This is very much a Let Them Fight scenario, so get clear and get ready to pounce on whomever survives. to ensure that both sides go down.

Do not think that I find this development one where a heroic band of corporate warriors can revive a flagging enterprise. As I said above, this is a decaying corpse. The collapse is inevitable, but what it collapses upon is not. What I am suggesting is that it is possible to influence when, where, and upon what it collapses and that--to whatever extent we can--we attempt to get it away from us and ours and make it crush our enemies. Then we torch the corpse to ash and salt the remains.

What we build in its wake will be shaped--like it or not--by the nature of its collapse. Shaping the battlefield to come now is in our interests. Let's do so.

It's Sunday. I'm going to put this out there since I want to wash the bad taste of BlizzCon out of my mouth. Remember side-scrolling brawlers? Totally my jam.

They're great games, even the lesser-known ones. (Do not sleep on Sacred Citadel.)

Why not make one where you're Crusaders retaking the Holy Land? I'm surprised that it hasn't happend already. Do just like Warriors of Fate, which is based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms; pick six Crusaders from history to be playable characters, build stages recounting the big hits of the era, and boss fights against Saracen leaders like Saladin. It'll be a great blend of Warriors of Fate and Knights of the Round.

If I could organize such a game development effort, I'd be doing it right now instead of blogging about it. Instead, I'm wanting someone that can do take up that torch and run with it across the line. Go for it and put it out on PC, PS4/5, Switch, and Xbox; try to do cross-play and cross-platform progression if you can. Try to hit that magic $15-$20 sweet spot if you can.

Do it and I'll stream it as soon as I can get it.

Narrative Warfare: The Mood Shifted

Last night terrorists flying the Burn Loot Murder flag mustered to do just that yet again in Kenosha, Wisconsin in response to a totally justified police killing of a career criminal.

During the course of the night, a local teenager who was on the scene to protect local property got attacked. He shot the three men who attacked him. Two of them are now dead. A third is wounded. These attackers were either wielding improvised weapons (i.e. a skateboard) or had weapons of their own (the survivor had a pistol), and they aimed to maim, cripple, or kill this local boy. Between this and the Roof Americans guarding a local gas station, we can see that what I knew of Kenosha had born out. This is not a big city like Chicago, or even a smaller one like Minneapolis, with all the Big City politics therein. This is a smaller town, sandwiched between Milwaukee and Chicago on Lake Michigan, and acting as a bedroom community for the latter in particular. The sense of community long strangled and warped in big cities remains in these places, so I am not surprised to see locals not having it and spending their nights bearing arms to do what the police either cannot or will not.

And, not being cops, the armed locals are not inclined to play nice. The terrorists fucked around and found out. If BLM's legal arm and political wing think they can muscle in and use the law, they're going to be mistaken also, and that means we've got a social mood shift hitting.

I appreciate that, heretofore, the question of optics had been a sound reason to not go looking for trouble in the big cities where this mayhem's been going down for months since the death-by-overdose (and not by cop) of George Floyd in Minneapolis. It was unwise to leave one's own community to face the terrorists.

This is not that. This is those dwelling in that community coming out of their homes to defend what is theirs against outside aggression. The optics are not the same, however much the cohorts in the media want it to be, and the locals know it- something that is and will continue to be put forth due to a combination of independents on the ground and locals all taking to social media.

And those videos can be--and will be--subpoenaed by the courts when legal action comes. Twitter, et. al., may censor the postings but the uploads will remain and make it into the court records; their own lawyers in-house will say not to fuck with it due to the sensitivity of the matter.

Furthermore, you can bet that Trump's being kept in the loop about this. The Republican National Convention isn't over yet, and Trump can turn this to his advantage he will; Trump isn't a cuck, and he knows how to read a room. If he takes this up, that's the confirmation that the social mood shifted, but nonetheless the mood shifted last night and not in BLM/Antifa's favor. Why? This.

A lot of us figured the street actors were just that, LARPing as revolutionaries, and now we've got solid confirmation of how unserious--despite being dangerous--they are. This is where we get to the question of violence, and how until now these terrorists had an advantage.

The reason for why they got away with so much is because, for them, violence is theater with desirable side-effects. It's exactly this principle in practice.

The rioting and so forth is intimidation. It is there to demoralize, terrify, and hobble the enemy. It is not there to exterminate the enemy. The violence put forth to stop this last night, while done in immediate self-defense, nonetheless is done to kill the enemy; corpses can't commit crimes. This is why when I say that the Wokies get violence wrong, I get people telling me I'm wrong; they mistake intimidation for extermination, failing to comprehend that terror regimes have to continue to terrorize to maintain effectiveness over time and as such become an ever-increasing cost that ends up bankrupting your regime. Corpse piles need only be heaped once; that enemy is now extinct and you are now free to make of his territory (etc.) as you will without regard for continued maintenance of control over a hostile populace.

This is why Wokies, like the other commies, have a very consistent playbook that involves disarming the populace and weaponizing state and media power against them. It's also why they mistake mass violence--typical street theater--for actual guerilla operations, which can be done solo; the current cohort, both street and office levels, are so used to playing the media game that they cannot conceive of opposition for whom none of that works.

We're going to, and soon, because this is locals defending their own turf and not idealistic out-of-towers trying to be the hero.

That's what's happening now. First there was the intimidation of the Minneapolis Police union chief at his home in small town Minnesota. Now we have rioting and looting in small town Wisconsin.

That's one step removed from "rural family farm" and every last American--even the cosmopolitan bicoastal shitbags who unironically insult those farmers by using "flyover country" as a slur--knows it. That's Death Ground in the American mind.

And that conjures this scenario.

Folks won't say so, but their behavior betrays their knowledge. They know it does.

Once it's smeared into their faces that BLM/Antifa is a clear and present danger to themselves, their families, and their property they will--and have in the past--had given no fucks about slaughtering such predatory threats when the government either cannot or will not do the job of ridding such threats. Last night was a reminder that this is true, and you can expect the media to feel this when they try to play BLM/Antifa as victims, as will the government actors when they try to wield state power. I've already put it out there that anyone on a jury in a case where Antifa/BLM attacked the defendant should flat-out nullify the charges and vote Not Guilty. I will do so if called. KTF.

Narrative Warfare: How To Slip One Past Them (Immigration)

I'm reading the daily news brief over at Anonymous Conservative when I see this:

I've seen the God-Emperor work long enough to entertain the possibility that he gamed this out and figured he had a means to make his enemies do an Own Goal like this, so he went for it as part of his bigger Xanatos Gambit. Why not? It's one more way for him to win, yet grants him something he can let go in favor of a more desirable outcome.

I've said that the G-E is magician, and this is more evidence of it. Strong negotiation acumen, if combined with comprehension of Face Culture, makes learning the Magician's Art a lot easier; all of them depend strongly on the principle that Perception trumps (heh) Reality. (Which, when I think about it, corresponds with something else I've noticed, but that's for another post.)

So what happened here? The TLDR is that the G-E has so persistently addled their collective amygdalas that they can't keep things straight, so as Trump sees things shake loose he deflects attention away from what he wants and gets them focused on what is ultimately inconsequential to him. This is one of those things he wants ignored; can't import more enemy actors if the entire immigration system is shut down. If they do get to acting on it, then he's got leverage he can use to negotiate what he wants- and that includes stalling long enough for the shutdown to occur.

Wictor says it daily: Read Your Sun Tzu. That's key to comprehending Trump, and somehow his enemies are absolutely incapable of doing this. That's why he's winning, and we win with him.

Narrative Warfare: It Makes Sense When It's Seen As A Power Move

The Supreme Dark Lord noticed something in the Establishment today. Specifically, this:

The Covid-19 pandemic has only helped the movement expand: Hundreds of thousands of people with nothing else to do have been exposed to the fringe fulminations. The Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), a London think tank, says that from March through June, QAnon-related posts surged on Facebook and Twitter. While its believers were far from the only ones trying to discredit the use of masks or cast doubt on vaccines, they were among the largest groups.

Twitter took action on July 21, announcing measures targeting “so-called ‘QAnon’ activity” across its platform. “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm,” the company tweeted as it detailed the crackdown. Twitter is suspending accounts for breaking existing rules and will no longer highlight as “trending” or recommend content and accounts associated with QAnon. It will also try to stop the movement from being played up in search. Users will no longer be able to share URLs associated with it.

Twitter’s plan has parallels with an earlier crackdown by Reddit in 2018 after its forums became QAnon hotbeds. The most prominent subreddits associated with the movement came down, and new ones even hinting they had something to do with it could not be created. Reddit’s move is considered to be among the more significant blows against QAnon.

But the tactics so effective on Reddit in 2018 may not work for Twitter. The QAnon movement is now a very different beast from the one that used to populate now-deleted subreddits such as r/TheGreatAwakening.

Once you see it, you can't unsee it. A lot of other things about Narrative Warfare fall into place because now a bridge between Normieville and Wooland is established that gets the point across. In short, this is a flex first and foremost, and a means of discerning whom and how to punish second. This isn't about maintaining MSM credibity; this is about signalling in-group identification first, discerning out-group threats second, and intimidating outsiders third. The credibility claim is cover, nothing more.

Narrative Warfare: Rumblings Echo From The East

You didn't hear about this in Anglophone media. Probably not mainstream European media either. Only those of Eastern Europe or Russia, maybe. Just here.

Things are happening. They are quiet. They are subtle. They are nonetheless happening. You are required to seek out the information; it will not come to you. Western media is the enemy and not to be trusted, not even the ones you like, because they freely and openly censor what you see and hear to fit their narratives and shut out the rest. You have to go outside their reach to find real information, and that requires effort and time on your part. A lot of the blackpilling stems from this attitude of believing the enemy even if you say you don't trust them; it's no different than giving money to people who hate you.

This is Narrative Warfare. The enemy wants you to believe their narrative, to accept the framework they present, so of course they're going to omit everything that contradicts their narrative if they can. The above video contradicts their narrative regarding Biden, so it's censored from Western (especially American) media. All of the BLM bullshit confirms their narrative, so it's given all the airtime and column inches they can spare. This is a propaganda machine waging a gaslighting campaign.

And you folks can't tell the difference between desperation and dominance. This is desperation we're seeing. Dominance works and behaves differently. The Ukraine report shows that there are rumblings to the east, storm clouds on the horizon, and it won't be a gentle one.

Narrative Warfare: Veritas' Counter-Punching Proves Effective Again

Project Veritas is aggressive in responding to defamatory attacks, and that they've scored 316 retractions against media smears shows that counter-punching works. You would think that the Establishment Media would learn from this, but no they don't and so the Mike Tyson displays of answering smears continue above and beyond their usual undercover whistleblowing investigations.

Yes, this does mean that Veritas has some legal mojo behind them. So does Vox Day; it's not as hard as you might think, even if it's not that easy either. It still show why Veritas is feared and respected despite being a small, private organization and larger ones are not. They don't take shit, and they're willing able able to wage lawfare when you come at them. That attitude and policy works; more should follow that example.

Each retraction gained is framed and displayed on video. That's doing a Humiliation Ritual to the enemy, and it's effective. It's telling them "We got caught you, we made you squeal, and we're showing everyone that we did it to you." It's not only a narrative of resilience, but of power, and it is a major pillar of their reputation as not something to mess with.

And because Veritas ruthlessly protects its reputation, its reports are treated as credible by far more people than you think, and therefore have more impact than you expect. Right now folks are going back over the Bernie Bro reports, where Hard Left Bernie organizers promised to see cities burn if Bernie wasn't nominated. Cities burned. You better believe the Feds have contacted Veritas over this, even if they have already, if only for copies of that footage.

It became especially clear in places like New York City that Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill DeBlasio were not feeling any urgency to restore civic order. Cuomo steadfastly refused to send in the National Guard, while DeBlasio pulled the NYPD back and ordered it to stand down. Both men then spent days blaming President Trump for the increased rioting and destruction that occurred.

Trump created an incredible partnership between federal agencies and private industry the likes of which had not been seen since World War II. He fixed the ventilator shortage issue, the COVID-19 testing issue, and the PPE issue all **without** seizing control or nationalizing anything.

The issue right now is that Trump is forcing the Dems to deal with the fact that the American system is a Federal system, not a centralized one, and as such the legal responsibility falls on the mayors and then the governors. Trump's hands are clean of all of this. The point of getting Trump to call in active duty troops is to pass the blame, legally as well as optically, to him; Trump knows this, which is why he has relied on the well-establised legal principle of Federalism to force the Dems doing this to handle things themselves.

In short, contrary to naysayers like VDare and Cernovich, Trump knows exactly what the game is and where it's to be won- and it's reflected in the people's approval of him. (No, Mike, his approval is not low; you're a fucking retard to believe the same polls that had him losing in 2016. Stop being a retard.) And yes, he's got his counter-attack plan and once the Dems gas out again he finishes the rope-a-dope with a counter-punch. (From the same article.)

That is because this past Sunday President Trump and US Attorney General William Barr changed the game. They announced that Antifa is now designated as a terrorist group, and federal agencies going after the group’s members and leadership.

All the federal law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, the DEA, the ATF, the Secret Service, and more are now coordinating their efforts to find and take down Antifa for good.

MOST of the people out on the streets during these protests-turned-riots aren’t the organizers, the brains, the behind-the-scenes people who guide and direct destruction. That’s why 90% of the people arrested are let go. They don’t matter. What matters is that 10% trying to stay out of sight, in the background.

No “Get Out of Jail Free” Card In The Federal System

Unlike New York or California with their ‘no bail’ laws or St. Louis, where the city district attorney promptly freed every single rioter that had been arrested [without informing the Missouri Attorney General that she was going to do that!], the federal system is quite different. There is no federal ‘no bail’ law, and when you are charged with terrorist activity, the bail will be quite high. You can also be held for trial instead of being released.

Understand now what it means that Trump & Barr sicced the FBI & other federal agencies after these anarchist groups? It has changed the entire dynamic.

The state governors, the city mayors, the local district attorneys and chiefs of police don’t get a say. They don’t get to use their city’s revolving jail door. They are locked out of the federal system. They are completely powerless.

What is going to happen is all the Antifa and violent Leftist groups that are driving these riots are going to disappear into the federal system. The Democratic governors and mayors And district attorneys can whine. They can cry. They can bitch and moan and shriek and rend their garments.

They can loudly and tearfully DEMAND that the Feds give them their undercover operatives back.

And they can also do what the DC Mayor, Marilyn Bowser, did today, when she whined for President Trump to pull all these federal tactical units and the National Guard out of Washington DC so the riots can be restarted.

It won’t matter. A leader has spoken.
