E3 2021 is happening.
Technically, it's already begun. Games Workshop started it on the 3rd with their showcase of new and upcoming videogame adaptations. Not that most noticed it as such, so it wasn't counted as such. You can find more info on that here at Niche Gamer.
The real pre-show began on the 5th with the Indie Live Expo, streamed on YouTube. That's embedded below for your convenience.
You might want to run this at 1.5 or 2x speed. It has Chapter Timestamps; use them without shame to skip the non-gaming parts of the video archive, which is most of it.
Archived on Twitch, on the same day, is Guerilla Collective's presentation.
Tomorrow is when the AAA pre-show stuff start kicking off. There's a new Battlefield reveal that day. You can watch on Twitch or YouTube, at 10 AM Eastern Time/7AM Pacific.
The day after is when Summer Games Fest launches. They'll also stream on Twitch and YouTube, starting at 2PM Eastern/11AM Pacific. This is a production of the Dorito Pope and friend of Hideo Kojima, Geoff Keighley, and is tied to The Game Awards.
The 12th is when the official pre-show begins, and the fun times to be had roasting terrible presentations with it. I don't know if the Metro City Boys will be streaming reactions or not; members are in flux in their real lives right now, so I may be just chilling privately while reacting and roasting to what is announced.
You can find the entire schedule at this Niche Gamer post, and I do recommend following Niche Gamer for your gaming info as well as their sister site Nicchiban for all things anime and manga.
PDX happened like a week ago and they announced what we had been waiting for, Victoria 3. Other than that I stopped really caring about new releases. Last year watching with Meticor was the only time I watched and after that in think the idea not to watch these things was a good one.
