While I went all-in on Copyleft and Hobbyist control over the Hobby last week, Sorcerors By The Sea had a big announcement or two.
The TLDR is that, again, my position on the lack of a future for Conventional Play in the Tabletop medium is confirmed.
And, still, the rest of the Cargo Cult of Conventional Play denies the reality of the oncoming apocalypse coming for their business model.
There remains no plan by anyone in the Cargo Cult to do anything that would work to replace the load-bearing pillar. There was no better a wake-up call than this past week's news from The Only Publisher That Ever Mattered that the Publisher as an actor in this hobby does not matter anymore and need to die.
Which means that I find it a good time to talk about the future that awaits for the hobby on Tabletop the rest of this week. (Hint: The #BROSR did a lot of the heavy lifting here, demonstrating Proof Of Concept, but it will not be confined to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition.)
