Ben Riggs, the former insider for Magic-Users By The Water, let this out. The Conventional Play crowd on YouTube cut videos on it.
Did I not say last week that the denial was the confirmation? Why yes, I did.
They're dancing around it by saying "digital publishing" and other euphemisms.
The reality is that Current Edition will become a videogame. What I wrote about over the last two posts at the Clubhouse get into why this is all a bad thing. Read them (subscribe and contribute if you can).
Our video presenter repeats what others have said: the C-Suite at Magic-Users and Hasborg have signed off on a plan to reconfigure Magic-Users from a tabletop game publisher to a videogame publisher, and this is part of that plan because they are replacing positions no longer required for those that are and that means a changeover of employees accordingly.
You're fucked, Conventional Play Gang.
It is time now to decide Which Way:
- Quit tabletop for vidya.
- Persist in the wasteland that will be left behind when Current Edition rips out the support for it on tabletop.
- Repent and return to the Clubhouse.
And yes, all of you YouTube people (like you, Professor Dungeon Master), are just as fucked and will be faced with the same choice.
And yes, I can bet where most of you will go when the time comes because you're already signalling your intentions.
And yes, I am getting the popcorn machine ready because the freakouts will be glorious as this cancer finally kills its host.
