It's Friday, so this weekend you may want to be looking for things to entertain or inform you. Let me offer some suggestions.
- JD Cowan released the collected version of his blog series "The Last Fanatics" abou the subversion of American popular literature and the murder of the Pulps by "Fandom". You can find it at Amazon for Kindle, hardcover, and paperback here.
- Nick Cole released Book Two of "Strange Company", his mil-WeirdFic series. It too is up at Amazon in Kindle and paperback, found here.
- Alexander Macris' campaign for "By This Axe"--a Dwarf book for Adventerur, Conqueror, King and similar RPGs--is in its final week. You can back it here on Kickstarter.
- Imperium Press published "Reflections on Violence" by Georges Sorel, recently; on sale in Kindle, ePub, and Paperback here at their own store.
- Steven Pressfield (author of "The War of Art" and "Gates of Fire") has a new book, "Put Your Ass (Where Your Heart To Be)" up at Amazon.
- Edward Dutton released "The Past is a Future Country", which is also up at Amazon. Quote: "'Equality' and ‘feelings’ are central to the New Religion that rejects all traditional values. Yet beneath the institutionally dominant ‘Left’ stews a growing and restless ‘Right’. How has this fractured situation come about? What will the future hold?"
- Palladium Books re-released The Compendium of Modern Weapons. In addition, all of Palladium's historical weapons, armor, and fortification books are also available on the company's online store.
- Again, the RPG Pundit's Sword & Caravan is up at DriveThruRPG in PDF, paperback, and hardcover as well as at Amazon in paperback.
- Jon Del Arroz's campaign for "Overmind" is in its last week. Still up at Kickstarter.
Finally, a heads-up that Geek Gab will be on the air tomorrow at 1pm Central--Noon Eastern, 6pm GMT, 10am Pacific--and I'll be in the live chat.
