Narrative Warfare: Shad's YouTube Problem Spotlights The Consequences Of Convergence

Shad here as a real problem, and he's backing it up with evidence.

The source of the problem, which is actively weaponized and exploited, is the Network Effect.

The Network Effect is the source of the problem. Exploiting this is the active weaponization. Shad mentions this right away by citing CEO Susan Wojiski's revelation that YouTube deliberately manipulates the platform--not just the algorythm--to push what is Globohomo-approved and to censor what is not.

When you do this on a technological platform where the majority of users are present because that is where the action is--the Network Effect in a nutshell; the value of a network is its network user size and interconnection--you are engaging in Narrative Warfare.

This Network Effect is also why altneratives such as Locals, Bitchute, Odysse, etc. are also-rans outside of very specific conditions (such as BillBilli doing well because it's allowed in mainland China or NicoNico because it's catering to Japanese users first and foremost) that allow for minor and regional contention potential.

Since most of the readers here are gamers, I'll put it in relatable terms: Current D&D remains on top due to its Network Effect, followed by Past/Alt-D&Ds, then Near-D&Ds (Palladium, et. al.) and Niche Dominants (Traveller, Call of Cthulhu et. al.) that D&D never served.

Most Normies will never play any RPG other than some form of D&D, usually Current D&D, and it is like pulling teeth to get them to go the least bit out of their way to play anything else. The same psychology drives WOW-Only Andies (like Asmongold's pal McConnell) with regard to all other MMORPGs, Diablo-Only Andies and other action RPGs, and so on.

Shad's got a big problem that resorting to alternatives to YouTube cannot solve, and due to SJW convergence of public institutions (including governments) are unlikely to be addressed with state power. If he wants to resolve it, he's going to have to completely reconfigure his business model and the workflow that it requires because he cannot force YouTube to stop fucking with him. Instead he's going to have to figure out how to exploit YouTube as it is to his benefit to drive traffic to other places where what YouTube suppreses can be had.

Convergence of the top Network Effect platform menas having the high ground in Narrative Warfare in that technological niche, which is why the Death Cult seized and holds it with that deathgrip. It is too important to cede to others, so it must be held at all costs; if you want to know why, look only at the success the CCP has in maintaining its narrative behind the Great Firewall- Globohomo seeks that same power, has it, and wields it daily in an endless succession of Point Deer Make Horse virtue signal/humiliation ritual media attacks on the populations of the world (especially the West, and moreso the Anglophone West).

Shad's almost there. He can sees the pieces of the machine, he can see them working, even working together, but he can't quite see why.

It's About Narrative Control

Don't think so? How many people still believe, sincerely, that Kyle Rittenhouse got away with murder? Go look; you'll find them. You'll also find far more people that Point Deer Make Horse and claim so dishonestly, either to gain power and influence or to keep what they have. That is Narrative Control in action.

Same goes for the Ukraine War and the line about Russian aggression, when it's really NATO using Ukraine as a catspaw against Russia and Russia going "You fucked around, now you find out." The tell? Banning RT and Sputnik from Western media networks like YouTube. Never had a problem with RT before this point, because Globohomo believed RT to be easily contained in Narrative terms until they found out that this wasn't the case. (The same will happen to Mainland Chinese media if Taiwan jumps off, and they are open CCP propaganda fronts by law.)

YouTube, therefore, is nothing more than a propaganda front that pretends to be a open platform. This is what Shad and others like him have yet to accept.

It's also why Normies refuse to accept because they refuse to do a goddamn thing that forces them to go out of their way for anything, which is why "Don't Shoot The Messenger" is a trope because too often that's exactly what Normies do.

Until what is needed to overtake a dominant Network is done, YouTube will remain on top globally and only really have to content with regional rivals on their home turf.
