My Life As A Gamer: We Heard You Like Dark Souls

Demon's Soul and Dark Souls, much like Metroid, have had influence far outsized its own series. "Souls-like" is a tag on places like Steam, much like "Metroidvania", and there's one channel on YouTube that has a series of videos checking out games claimed to be Souls-like. This is the latest one.

I would not have heard of, nevermind considered, these games if it weren't for videos like this. If you're looking for some smaller games, forgotten games, etc. to play to get away from AAA's decline then here's a place to start. A lot of these show the spirit of #BrandZero; to make your own takes on stuff you like and share that with others instead of sticking to skinsuited IPs.
