The Business: Delusion Is The Cargo Cult's Norm

The Conventional Play people are still holding on.

GAMA has decided to intervene in the Diamond situation, and supposedly the publishers will win, but judges have been Doing The Dumb a lot of late and not always for political reasons. The bankruptcy situation is still catastrophic, and Diamond has every incentive to run out the clock on these people because even with GAMA Diamond can just outspend them to win- especially if they're driven by spite.

It doesn't matter anyway because the damage done already is sufficient to cripple the healthier and kill the rest, and those crippled will get taken out by the tariffs. We are still on track for a massive culling of crap; all that's changed is the date of death or disavowal of commercial intentent.

As for The Only Game That Matters: "Gamers" are not jumping ship.

The common player only plays Current Edition. They don't play Past Editions. They don't play other games. It's Current Edition or Quit, and it always has been that way. This panel is coping hard. Shadowdark, Daggerheart, etc. do not matter AT ALL; those who would walk away from Current Edition on Tabletop will just play its digital edition instead, or play World of Warcraft, or something else in that similiar space. The RFC crew knows this; they've had past livestreams breaking it down with receipts, and yet here they are gainsaying their own past presentations.

Star Wars didn't do it. Nothing will. All of the claims Stephen made are absolute bullshit because this dance got done before, and it didn't happen then; nothing's changed, so no different results will be had now.

When this doesn't happen, I will be there in the Clubhouse to say that I told you so.
