The commercial operators are going to be culled. That is necessary for the hobby to revitalize itself after decades of this crap. Without Endless Product Slop, CONSOOM PRODUCT drones will leave and that's good for the hobby.
What will also happen is that the social status of the hobby will also tank, making it cringe and uncool to be playing this stuff because there's no more clout to farm from it due to the money going away. Good. That alone will shed a lot of parasites from the hobby.
What is good for the hobby is a handful, at best (and at most) of full and complete games that dedicated hobbyists focus their passion upon to learn and master to play in one decentralized campaign that goes worldwide- thus necessitating all of the things that the Bros brought back to be practiced once more- no more Tinpot Dictator Tables.
The changes in the business side will bring this about.
