I am not surprised to see that there is renewed interest in Chainmail.

There is a lot to be found by digging into that game, as Jeffro found when he did previously, which gives explanatory power to AD&D1e in particular and to D&D generally.

And this renewed interest will filter forward into the hobby generally in many forms; attempting to unfuck stupid Theater Kid products is just one of many.
