Cargo Cultist Copium Huffers are going to overdose before they admit I am right.
Bot-generated content, remixing endlessly what it is trained on, is exactly what you need to do something like "generate a five level dungeon themed as an underground cave system". Bots can also handle NPC allies as well as enemies (e.g. Final Fantasy XIV and its Squadron, Duty Support, and Trust mechanics for solo players doing instanced group content). Bots can administer rules faster and easier than a human Referee, as proven by decades of Conventional Play in Vidya.
That's where this job is going to go. This is the job that performs the work needed to make the transition to a Mobile Trash application like you see with all those Gacha games happen. Our video host independently concludes as I have that this will lead to bot NPCs and bot Referees in addition to bot-generated scenarios.
All of this will be in a Walled Garden. All of this will end up in a Mobile Trash app. It will become like that Shadow Legend thing.
SOBS has come out and confirmed all of this save the Mobile Trash app, but that's just a matter of time; they want to use this on tablets, so they'll make it useable on phones and that means Mobile Trash bullshit.
The endgame is to make Future Edition into a single-player experience (because you can play with others, but are heavily incentivized not to) where you swipe your card to pay for the privlege to not get saddled with artificial friction or otherwise disadvantaged against other players.
Is this the hobby you want? Is this how you want the hobby to be defined? If you don't, you better reconsider how you're going to bring new people into the hobby without SOBS doing it for you and you better reconsider how you can pitch staying in the hobby compared to all the other options--many of which have superior Network Effects and leverage Revealed Preferences better than the Tabletop Cargo Cult--because SOBS ain't going to that for you either.
You lot, especially you publishers, do not have answers for this and you have so long relied on SOBS for acquring and funneling prospective customers to your products (and hobbyists to your tables) that you have to build all of this up from scratch. Not only that, all of you need to get over the hump that Normies do not go out of their way for ANYTHING, and will NEVER work for their entertainment.
TLDR: You will fail to cope after SOBS pulls off the Big Move because you cannot compete against the alternatives to Tabletop Conventional Play.
This is why the Bros are making the future for Tabletop happen; their model does not rely on commercial operations to succeed.
