Fuck it. Here's the Tweet.
BG3 is one third the price, doesn't have Schedule Your Fun problems, doesn't allow for power-tripping GMs, and can be played when you like for how long you like.

You can get that expreience for even less w/ other titles.
Conventional Play is better as a videogame. https://t.co/OUh1DQZzdV
$180 for what they claim is a complete product, but we all know is not.
No, it doesn't matter if this is digital and print. It's still $180 for something that was $60 in 2000.
For all the bullshit involved, you'd be better off with Pathfinder or Palladium Fantasy.
But no, you're not going to do that are you? You're going to buy Baldur's Gate 3 for a third that price or less at Steam or GOG. Then you're going to play it when you want, how you want, for as long as you want at a single time, with no shit players at the table and no power-tripping retard behind the screen.
Then when you've finished replaying it for the seventh time, and more than gotten your money's worth, you can buy Larian's Divinity: Original Sin games and do the same thing. Or the first two Baldur's Gate games. Or the Icewind Dale games. Or the SSI Gold/Silver Box series. Or SSI's Phantasie set. Or Wasteland 1-3. Or Fallout 1-4. Or Elder Scrolls: Todd Needs A New Yacht. Or the Ultima series. Or any of the 16 Final Fantasy titles, including the MMOs.
Why would you waste this money on a product filled with the contempt, incompetence, and hatred of the legacy audience by those who produced it?
If you want the best Conventional Play experience that a commercial enterprise can sell to you, get yourself an account at Steam and GOG and buy the videogame versions instead. You will actually get your money's worth because you'll actually be able to play, enjoy, and finish those products as opposed to the hate-filled trash shat out upon the shelves in Tabletop.
Are you a hobbyist, or a paypig?
Don't give money to people that hate you.
