Geek Gab gets on author Blain Pardoe today to talk about his new book Splashdown, in addition to the usual stuff.
Blaine has a second book in this series out now, and Wargate Books has a growing roster of authors with a growing number of books in series coming out. All of this is from Cole & Anspach, as it is a parallel enterprise to Galaxy's Edge that puts out isekai that isn't loserfic (like so much Japanese stuff is these days), and Blaine's books are going a bit further afield from that.
If you want to game this premise out, you're going to need something with a solid build system that handles scale well enough. That cuts it down to a few options.
Mekton Zeta is the best choice overall. Jovian Chronicles is second-best due to the Companion having the build system necessary. The other two, being robust total-build systems, have the rules and procedures needed to do playable modelling at the cost of the work being so front-loaded that you're better off treating them as Developer's Kits and using that up-front work to cull the corpus down to what the game actually needs.
And yes, these are the best options because the wargaming roots are strong here, wargaming is not a narrative thing, and thus those "storytelling" titles go straight into the trash where they belong.
