Narrative Warfare: When The Enemy Tells On Itself

The Pundit cut a video confirming what a lot of us suspected: the Death Cultists in tabletop RPGs are guilty of what they accused others of doing.

Also confirmed, yet again? You ain't making real money doing this.

Both Stupid Seattle Game Publishers pay no better than any other publisher that afford to pay at all, and considering Wankers By The Beach has Big Corporate money behind it that's especially galling. Both companies are fighting over an ash pile. Both companies' factions are either Death Cultists or Mammon Mobsters- neither of them are your friends, or even respecting your custom.

It's why the only folks making a living are the owner-publisher sorts, and they are all Boomers that made their bones decades ago like Kevin Siembieda or Steve Jackson. Everyone else--and increasingly, even the "big players"--are relying on crowdfunding not just to make it to market, but to keep things going at all. The smarter ones do tabletop RPGs as a side hustle, or--like the Pundit--live where the cost of living is low enough to make it work.

And they have to take that misery out on you, because they believe they are entitled to live as they expect despite not doing what is required to get it. Way to tell on your own side, Jess. Nice own goal there.

By the way, the Geek Gab episode I posted about last Saturday will be this Saturday instead. You'll find it here at the usual time.
