Remember that Macross/Robotech deal? Big West ain't waiting. Below, on the official Macross YouTube channel, is The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Flash Back 2012. There are no subtitles, but you won't need them; this is an in-universe concert film of Lynn Minmey--yes, that's the Macross spelling--before she left Earth to colonize another world as part of the Megaroad-01 expedition in 2012.
This is a limited time event, so this is more of a testing-the-waters than anything else, but nonetheless I put it to you that making this video blow up will ensure timely release of other Macross media in forms that Death Cultists are unable to fuck up. As there is a new Macross Delta movie coming this year, that's not just a swift back-catalog release.
The word remains that Big West is looking to outsource this to Sony, putting Funimation and Crunchyroll into the mix, but that is not yet certain. The opportunity to show Big West that they can just cut out the middle man is now, so do it.
