E3 2019, Day Three

It's Nintendo's turn today. Same format as before; I put the post up early, and edit it later with my comments as I watch the things. Commentary behind the cut. Nother bothering with pre or post-shows today. There's also a Konami announcement tonight, which I'll also watch.

    • DragonQuest for Smash. Someone's happy.
    • Reminder of DQ11 Definitive.
    • Bowser joke. Good job.
    • Luigi's Mansion 3. Haunted Hotel. Looks great. It's the Ghostbusters we all want.
    • Dark Crystal tactics game to go with the Netflix show. Okay.
    • Link's Awakening for Switch.
    • Trials of Mana. Lots of folks happy for that.
    • Collection of Mana available today on the eShop.
    • Witcher 3 Complete on Switch.
    • Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
    • Original Resident Evil on Switch. Complete with janky controls. No, lots of RE games come to Switch.
    • No More Heroes 3. Lots of happy people.
    • Contra? CONTRA! Collection available today. New game later.
    • Daemon X Machina. September 19th. Awesome.
    • Panzer Dragoon!
    • Pokemon Sword and Shield demos for attendees.
    • Astral Chain in August. Promising.
    • Empire of Sin. 1920s gangster game.
    • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. July 19th.
    • Cadence of Hyrule. Crypt of the Necrodancer for Zelda.
    • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. Okay. Looks like a fun party game.
    • Animal Crossing New Horizons. Next year.
    • Stuff we know is coming to Switch being repeated quickly here.
    • Duck Hunt joke done perfectly. Also, Banjo Kazooie for Smash? Okay.
    • Breath of the Wild sequel confirmed in development. Good. BOTW is fantastic.
    Konami Announcement
    • They're doing their own retromini console, Turbo Graphix 16 Mini. R-Type, Ninja Spirit, New Adventure Island, Dungeon Explorer, Ys Book I & II, and more will be on it.
    • They're adding a hardware topper to allow for couch co-op.
