The Culture: The Bros Had To Do It This Way

Rump explains how things had to be.

(Note: I really wish I could quote more than two at a time.)

Like it or not, going hard on the Muh 40 Years and other bad faith anklebiting faggots is what had to be done.

This is because most people are persuaded by Rhetoric, not Dialectic, and that means it's Feels Over Facts. First you have to dominate and flex to establish emotional supremacy, after which you can then impart factual information for the audience to act upon. Contra Cernovich, you do not start by being nice; you start by playing the Frame Game and that means establishing dominant Frame before pulling in others into your frame, through which you disseminate information.

When do you know you made it? When the women who are considered High Status start echoing your position, granting the weak permission to pile on because the consensus (being a cognito-version of the herd) protects them. It is literally this meme.

Those too weak to think--Boomers, Cargo Cultists, etc.--had to be bullied into it via Frame Game techniques before they would be made receptive to information via social pressure and approval from the Mavens- who, in turn, seek it from those able to think such as the Bros.

It had to be this way. Now that the containment's been breeched, they'll spread especially as the big patrons of the Cargo Cult have stumbled so badly that they are too preoccupied with their own problems to re-establishment containment and quash the revival of the Real Hobby before the threat it poses to their businesses (already weakened) manifest and finish off those that somehow tanked the Colony Drop and didn't (as WOTC's doing) quit Tabletop for Vidya.

The days of the Cargo Cult are done. It's now in a state of decay and collapse; the Real Hobby's return is guaranteed, and Muh Industry going under will be worth it.
