Yes, this is stupid.

But I want you to consider more than what it right there before your face. This an attempt at Normalization of Death Cult dogma. The dogma is that Muh Safety is paramount and cannot be violated. It is not allowed to be ignored. With others policing is expected, but this is the attempt to check to see if you are sufficiently indoctrinated that you will police yourself.

We can laugh at it. When they are around, we should laugh at them. We should not dismiss this as harmless. This perfomative action is a signalling action to other Death Cultists, and we'll be able to use this to out them when they start talking about this stuff as if it were a good idea because they somehow think BDSM practices are relevant to this hobby.
