The Culture: We Built This City (For XP & Gold)

The other night, Alexander Macris had on one of his players to talk about fantasy cities and worldbuilding.

The conversation ranged widely, as is often the case, but when they do get on topic you're going to find useful commentary- especialy if you are using ACKS.

The worldbuilding aspects are more useful for writing fiction than proper hobby gaming, but it is useful nonetheless because people act on beliefs and the correlary is that you're not making anything based on beliefs that are not evident (and thus cannot exist because the thinking required has not happened).

For the hobbyists among us, this remains a conversation worth hearing if only to see how a city like that arises through the efforts of players at all levels of play.
