The Bros, as I had hoped, are expanding beyond Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition and Adventurer, Conqueror, King. Let's review what's talked about in public channels.
AD&D/ACKS
The cornerstone of all the AD&D/ACKS play. From here we have Trollopolous, BROvenloft, BROriental Adventures, The Caribbrolean Isles, Machodor, Corvusburg, and more.
Though you don't hear about it as much on Twitter, save for Session Report threads and link posts, there's still regular action going on. (You boys need to self-promote your stuff more, and not let Jeffro and Mandalf take up all the attention.)
We're still running into parts of the game as-it-is that is still misunderstood to this day, so learning (and mastery) is still going on here. Furthermore, as Jon's solo game most recently showed (Corvusburg), that early game can be painful with either bad luck or bad play ending with your man becoming Yet Another Corpse In The Dungeon for delvers to find.
For more details, you'll want to follow specific blogs or YouTube channels to see the sessions go down. Some post on Twitter; for the rest, hit up the Links tab and read those blogs.
And there's always more to be had out there- including your own addition.
RIFTS
The current sensation is Jeffro and JD Sauvage doing RIFTS and shamelessly using other Palladium product (lots of Robotech), and Jeffro's blog does cover events from his perspective as well as something that Bros are known for: digging into How Things Actually Work.
What Jeffro and the gang found recently is how Palladium's combat resolution actually works, and the implications are huge; if you have one-hit-kill potency in attacks, and you're guaranteed to hit, then you want to go first and be in range of all potential targets because you get to spam your attacks. This is not a trivial objective to achieve.
There's also plenty of action to be had elsewhere, and we're seeing Bros throw a lot of money at Palladium to get in on the action- especially now that the Grab Bags are live. Yards of Books fly across the continent (and further) so that Bros can do for Palladium what's been done for AD&D1e.
Others
We're still seeing Bros mess around with Boot Hill, Gamma World, Traveller, and Call of Cthulhu from time to time. The Bros are people, and want a change of pace just like everyone else.
If you want more attention given to a particular product, join the party and run it yourself- and then post session reports.
As for myself, that recent Palladium revelation has me looking at doing another mechanical analysis of the system- maybe even another solo go. Again, there's a bunch of links on the main page to hit up (and I'll add more as they come to my attention), as well as the tags on Twitter.
