My Life In Fandom: The Gab Talks D&D Cosmology & More Today

Live at 1pm Central Time, Daddy Warpig and Dorrinal are back with all sorts of stuff.

Notes from the show:

  • Never unestimate the appeal of air conditioning in oppressive Summer heat and humidity as a driver of ticket sales.
  • The Terminal List got the boys' approval, and NOPE was okay.
  • Everything was Michelle Yeoh being too good a talent for everything and everyone involved.
  • Warpig watched Rick & Morty. Somehow they're going for ten seasons. As Dan Harmon hates people like me, I refuse to give it time or attention (nevermind money).
  • Trollopolous continues, and Warpig marvels at the treasure being coin-heavy and item-light.
  • Official D&D cosomology iterations reviewed' 4th Edition was stupid, and 5th did not make this better. AD&D was best, again. Warpig's big rant on extra-planar adventuring is spot-on; it's for high-level characters.

On a side note: Catalyst Game Labs bent the knee to the SJWs in their midst and cancelled author Blaine Pardoe for WrongThink. There's an article about it here by Pardoe, and the comments feature author Matt Bracken, who's familiar with this problem as many others are. Yes, Razorfist knows; expect a rant about it presently.

CGL has responded.

CONVERGENCE ACHIEVED

BattleTech, along with all other CGL-held properties, are now Free and Fair Game. A Letter of Marque & Reprisal has been handed to Captain Harlock. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes- and Catalyst isn't guzzling EGS funding, so "go broke" is viable. Share those PDFs, arrange private POD links and spread those around, buy used- whatever you do, give CGL nothing until they make this right. The enemy wages war upon us; we are fucking retarded to not respond in kind.
