Narrative Warfare: When Gammas Cry (About Being Mocked)

Stupid drama is ignorable until it starts screwing with the money, and that has happened to Jon del Arroz recently. He's streaming today about the latest development.

Now I wouldn't panic yet. Jon's a capable man, so he's handling this, but I have to make the following observation: the last friend of Vox Day who got screwed over by a California alt-funding business got bent over by the courts and spanked so hard they couldn't sit for weeks.

The same situation that would result in Patreon losing millions to Owen Benjanmin and the 82 Bears is promising to repeat here. Indiegogo shut Jon out of his account, but let the campaign close anyway; if they collect pledges without allowing Jon to fulfill (because they won't let him access the campaign, including the Backer List), and refuse to refund, then it's going to end up badly for IGG.

Remember that Jon recently defeated WorldCon in court, so he's not afraid to wage lawfare, and he has the Benjaimin Strategy as his disposal that exploits California's Arbitration statute to turn the process into the punishment.
