Narrative Warfare: They Are Starting To Close Their Wallets

A certain YouTube channel built around a Doctor Doom gimmick released a video about a certain Hellmouth executive rumored to have their contract renewed.

The video was what you'd expect from an outrage-dependent Pop Cult channel. That's not surprising, or encouraging. What was, and is, was--believe it or not--in the Comments.

In short, people are getting the memo. They are realizing that there is no saving those Pop Cult idols, even if the best possible scenarios play out. They are realizing that the Devil Mouse, and all its thralls, hate them and want them dead and buried so they can corrupt--"rectify"--the coming cohorts into good little Death Cultists.

Yes, it's taken some time. Yes, some of those same folks vehemently denied that this was a necessary course of action heretofore and instead clung to their idols. They are going to Japanese media, to European media, to older American media and getting away from Current Year Hellmouth offerings.

Baby steps, people. That they are willing to close their wallets, turn the channels, shut the thing off entirely, not go to the parks or buy the merch, etc. is itself encouraging and thus shows that "Don't Give Money To People That Hate You" is by no means as hard a sell as naysayers think. Not that the enemy hasn't adapted, as Rawle Nyanzi noted over the week, or that there won't be pushbacks or setbacks. This is a long process, played for the long game, for a lasting result- something Brian Niemeier has talked about again recently.

That whole "good shepard" thing starts to make sense now, doesn't it?

There's nothing left to do but to fork and replace all the things, starting with what can be done and expanding to what--at present--cannot when we can reach that capability.
