My Life As A Writer: You Are Not As Bad As You Fear You Are

Remember this in all your creative endeavors: you are not Steven Seagal. You have to try to do worse than him.

Seagal makes a living making movies with writing so bad that it makes John Scalzi's work look like John C. Wright, and that doesn't account for the rest of the production.

He still makes movies. That means that someone still coughs up serious money, organizes entire office teams and production crews, and casts actors--some of whom are serious talent--to tolerate being on set with him.

So just do it. Get the suck out, Git Gud, and get it out there. People will buy what you create, and it will be better than the working professionals cashing checks making star vehicles for this delusional drama queen. (And if you want to know more about Seagal, you can start by searching YouTube for videos on the bullshit he's been passing for decades.) It takes talent to make Uve Boll look legit, but Seagal has it.
