Remember that fantastic Sabaton song about the Bismarck?
Well, here's one of the best dramatic adaptations of the actual events. It's a Hollywood production, officially, but due to the cast it's really more from the Anglo branch than the American end of the Establishment. Given the time it was released, many of the older cast were actually around when it happened; some may actually have been in uniform, but I can guarantee that none were in the fight itself. That will show in the performances, something missing from later depictions. Enjoy this capsule of an era long past.
Take notice of this when watching such dramatizations. In addition to willful alterations for dramatic, technical, or propaganda purposes you will get different delivery by those who have witnessed or experienced what is depicted and those that did not. It's subtle, but it is there and once you notice it you cannot miss it thereafter; it's why GATE pales compared to Galaxy's Edge- the latter is written by men who got shot at and the former was not.
