My Life In Fandom: Bandai Did The Things

Bandai's good at playing the merchandise game when it comes to its properties, and the reason it succeeds so well at this game is that it actually knows its audience. They know that they have cash to burn so those model kits and so on can and do run into Premium territory.

The last few days got a couple of announcements to my feed. First, for all you Zeta Gundam fans, something better than your usual Gunpla kit.

That's right, it's a full-on toy! You can actually play with it, not just have it lay about wasting space. No, it ain't cheap. No, it's not that big. You're likely going to need to import it, but if you want an actual toy then this is what you're looking for.

The second is a model kit, but the model is of one of the the most popular of the original designs made for Super Robot Wars: Cybuster!

More on this kit release can be found here (You'll need to translate that page.), and it's not a Premium Bandai kit so it'll be in retail channels and thus likely to be available to import- if not able to be ordered on Amazon. As for the unit and its pilot, here's his attacks in Super Robot Wars X (also as seen in V and T, more or less), and more info is here. Yes, there's a pair of SRW anime; one of them is actually worth watching.
