My Life In Fandom: Kotetsu Jeeg Turns 45

Another annivesary to celebrate.

The big deal here is that Jeeg worked off electromagnetism, and had a lot of mission-specific parts that could be hot-swapped around. Jeeg was also one of the smaller Super Robots of the era, half the height of the RX-78 Gundam and about the height of the Dunbine. This would be retained in the 2007 sequel, which featured the original version as a supporting character and had a great JAM Project opening: Stormbringer. (And yes, they play it live.)

Both of them can also be found on the high seas, if you ask Captain Harlock nicely he'll show you where you can watch them.
