Another annivesary to celebrate.
On the 5th of October 1975, the 1st episode of Kotetsu Jeeg aired. It was created by Go Nagai and Tatsuya Yasuda and ran for 46 episodes. It debuted in SRW Alpha 2 (PS2) in 2003 & received a sequel in Koutetsushin Jeeg in 2007.

The big deal here is that Jeeg worked off electromagnetism, and had a lot of mission-specific parts that could be hot-swapped around. Jeeg was also one of the smaller Super Robots of the era, half the height of the RX-78 Gundam and about the height of the Dunbine. This would be retained in the 2007 sequel, which featured the original version as a supporting character and had a great JAM Project opening: Stormbringer. (And yes, they play it live.)
