Narrative Warfare: This Is How The Story Ends

As seen on the blog of the Supreme Dark Lord today, an interesting article on the correlation between sexual morality and Civilization. I'll reproduce what he quoted here.

1. Effect of sexual constraints: Increased sexual constraints, either pre or post-nuptial, always led to increased flourishing of a culture. Conversely, increased sexual freedom always led to the collapse of a culture three generations later.
2. Single most influential factor: Surprisingly, the data revealed that the single most important correlation with the flourishing of a culture was whether pre-nuptial chastity was required or not. It had a very significant effect either way.
3. Highest flourishing of culture: The most powerful combination was pre-nuptial chastity coupled with “absolute monogamy”. Rationalist cultures that retained this combination for at least three generations exceeded all other cultures in every area, including literature, art, science, furniture, architecture, engineering, and agriculture. Only three out of the eighty-six cultures studied ever attained this level. Effect of abandoning prenuptial chastity: When strict prenuptial chastity was no longer the norm, absolute monogamy, deism, and rational thinking also disappeared within three generations.
4. Total sexual freedom: If total sexual freedom was embraced by a culture, that culture collapsed within three generations to the lowest state of flourishing — which Unwin describes as “inert” and at a “dead level of conception” and is characterized by people who have little interest in much else other than their own wants and needs. At this level, the culture is usually conquered or taken over by another culture with greater social energy.
5. Time lag: If there is a change in sexual constraints, either increased or decreased restraints, the full effect of that change is not realized until the third generation.

While the usual arguments are going on at Twitter regarding pornography, information like this is now coming out and being promulgated. This is information that changes the discussion because it shows, between the original work in the 1930s and the observations of those patterns in practice through to the present, that this correlation is strong and--and this is the big think here--repeatedly evident throughout recorded history. Between this and the promulgation of r/K Theory, we now have both the theory (literally) and the practice (this pattern observed and discussed) behind the forces most obviously driving the rise and fall of Civilization.

I won't say that Two-Gun Bob knew this when he put these words to pen before killing himself, but he spoke something true nonetheless: "Barbarianism is the natural state of mankind. Civilization is unnatural. It is the whim of circumstance. And barbarianism must ultimately triumph." Put this in light of r/K Theory and what barbarism actually is in practice, and you'll find (a) that Bob wasn't wrong and (b) Civilization is "unnatural" because it requires adherence to K-select psychology despite the appearance of an r-select environment- and that's only doable with a strong and rigid morality imposed and enforced by a strong religious authority.

And, my liberal democratic friends, you're going to get it.

Look at the above-quoted summary--and I urge you to read the linked article; there is more than what is summarized here--and compare that to what you see about you. Now compare this with Nassim Taleb's observation that determined, militant, and intolerant minorities always come to dominate multi-faction states and you can see why many countries are very concerned with Muslim demographics, Turkey's Erdogan using them (in both senses) as weapons, as well as the inevitable reaction of a revival of militant Christianity in the West and similar reactions in the East (e.g. ChiCom suppression campaigns).

This is why the era of the Western Liberal Democracy is on its way out; it has, in classic r-select fashion, thrown out the K-select norms that made it possible. There is no way to maintain this momentum for much longer, which is why the smart players--and the smart money--has been trying to move out of Dodge for a while now. It's Clown World and its need to steal and pervert the children of others to corrupt--literally--into their replacement and Wolf World that will gladly go all Terminator to secure its domain against all comers.

And you want to think you can stay out of this? No, you can't. This has happened before; it's happening again now. Your predecessors weren't allowed to dip out, and neither will you. This is one of those things where sides are forced upon people who don't make a choice willfully to pick one. The End of the Age has come; you can no more hang on to it than Great-Grandpa could hang on to his life in 1913 after August of 1914- and man, did Great-Gramps try to do so after 1918, which is a post for another time.

This won't blow over. Sure, you won't see much of it in realspace for now, but you will soon enough when where it's already going down reaches your neck of the woods- and that can come as early as next year for a lot of you. Why, well, my colleague and editor Brian Niemeier put it very well in his post today at his blog: "The political system is fully in the Death Cult's hands. The Death Cult will not suffer current or former heretics in their midst.

We can't expect to overturn the Cult-enforced moral anti-order at the ballot box. Nor will accepting their premises and arguing on their terms avail us. Our rulers long ago abandoned Christianity, and so they hate us. The only remedy is new rulers guided by the light of Christian morality and dedicated to a Christian moral order."

He's not wrong. The Inspector General report today showed Death Cultists in the FBI fixing the FISA applications to screw Trump before getting into office. It gets worse from there. The Judiciary has long been in the Death Cult's hands, and still remains willing to screw him against all logic, sense, and precedent--and that's a thing that matters only when the High Priests of the Law Cult say it does--so I leave you with these Anonymous Conservative observations.

If you are not following the comments, you are missing great material like this analysis of how societies with constrained sexual morality flourish, while those which liberalize sexual morality degenerate. r/K Theory is everywhere. It is really a chicken and the egg thing, in that until now, societies which constrained sex were K, and would flourish, while those which were liberal sexually were r, and were going to degenerate. What will be interesting is if you can take a society heading r and degenerating, and drive it K and make it flourish simply by removing the dopaminergic stimulus of sexual liberation.

Israel bans porn. I suspect if r/K were to catch on and truly affect policy decisions, what we will see as things go K is an incremental push to ban ever less dopaminergic stimuli. This spectrum will have drugs and prostitution on one side, and as you travel along it to a place of ever more K, it will go to porn, alcohol, risque TV, and might even head to minor dopamine stimulants like delicious food and smartphones – things we can’t imagine now – but which would make perfect sense to super-K’s living under Hyper-K. It is possible if you saw evolution begin to be affected, and a subspecies arose that began going ever more K, it would gradually produce a hyper-driven population with an innate urge to actively avoid pleasure.
