The Culture: The Old West's Version Of The Only Game That Matters

"How about those other games?"

Let's look at Boot Hill then. Right now you can get the 2nd Edition rulebook at DriveThru in softcover for $8.50.

The comments have one guy that gives you all you need to know:

"The rulebook assumes you'll be playing a game similar to the old Braunstein games of yesteryear. Everyone creates a character who has a role in the town/terrority; Texas Ranger, Sheriff, Marshell, Indian Chief, Railroad Boss, Newspaper Owner, Outlaw Gang leader, drifter, etc. Everyone is viaing to make such and such amount of money, and the referee just moderates the chaos."

As those that play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition know, there are conversion notes between it and Boot Hill. You can get all the fun of Deadlands without giving that pozzed publisher a penny.

You'll have everything you need to play a proper campaign with this one product. For more than that, you have a plethora of media about the real guns, the real places, and the real period covered by this game to refer to and adapt into something usable at the table. You have no need to buy anything more ever again.

For less than $10 (before taxes and shipping) you get a complete product. No competitor even tries to do this.

"That's great!"

It sure is. Tomorrow, we'll talk about more stuff.

Yes, but that $8.50 will go in Wizards of the Coast's pocket--maybe less money, but to a more malignant entity.

    1. Without going hard into piracy, you're choosing between evils.
